Bio at a glance:
Renee Jain is one of the nation’s most respected childhood happiness and resilience experts.
She uses her many talents, specialized education, and business acumen in pursuit of her life’s mission: To provide whole-brain education to children three years of age and older, regardless of where they live or of their families’ socioeconomic background.
As founder and Chief Storyteller at GoZen!, Renee is recognized as a pioneer in marrying technology and child psychology in a unique approach that nurtures the hearts and minds of kids. Through her writing, product invention and development, masterclasses for parents, and children’s advocacy, she works to build the emotional intelligence of kids, including resilience, empathy, kindness, and critical thinking.
Millions of parents have turned to Renee and her popular “Stress Better” column on PsychCentral.com for insights on how to help their children recalibrate the role that stress plays in their lives so that they can convert stress to their advantage.
Renee, an adherent of conscious parenting, draws heavily on her own life experiences, as a child who struggled with stress, a successful entrepreneur who regularly interacts with the public, and now as the parent of two young children of her own.
Renee earned her Master’s degree in Positive Psychology – the scientific study of optimal human functioning – from the University of Pennsylvania. She is one of fewer than 400 people to attain that degree.
She also has been mentored by – and regularly collaborates with – some of the top depression prevention experts in the world.
Using digital animation, Renee integrates research-based concepts into engaging and digestible learning modules. Her one-of-a-kind programs, GoStrengths! and GoZen! are praised by clinicians, educators, and parents alike. (Kids adore these programs, too!)
Resilience, Renee believes, is a skill – one that can be practiced and one that when cultivated in childhood leads to happier, better-adjusted, adults.
“Peace is within reach,” Renee says. “It comes from the strength that lies within our all of our children.”
